2025: A year to remember!

 2025 has been a busy and brilliant year at MBDS! 

As the year comes to a close, we’re looking back on an incredible 2025 filled with achievements, milestones, and exciting new beginnings. It’s been a busy year—but what a successful one! 

Exam Successes
Our dancers shone in the RAD Ballet exams, with both junior and senior students presenting beautifully. Their hard work and dedication were truly inspiring. 

We also had a strong showing at the American Performance Awards, and a huge congratulations to Haley for placing in the top 5 in the American Ballet Academy Bursary Competition!  Well done to all bursary winners throughout the school—your talent and commitment are remarkable. 

Our modern and tap dancers impressed in the AIDT exams, too. Special shoutouts to Delane, who received a Highly Commended in Advanced Modern, and Chloe, who achieved 91% in Tap. Exceptional results! 

Competitions & Performances
We had a fantastic year at RACA and the Roodepoort Dance Festival, with numerous 1st placements and category wins. A huge well done to all students who represented the studio—you made us proud! 

Other standout achievements include Cayleigh, who won her Solo Ballet Section at Dancestar, and our “Who Dunnit” Modern group, who placed 2nd. Amazing work! 

Studio Growth & New Ventures
2025 also saw exciting growth for the studio. in 2024, we officially opened our Cradle of Humankind branch, welcoming new dancers into our community. In 2025, we made leaps and bounds with that branch, developing its infrastructure and upgrading its equipment.

We added Pilates reformers, supporting both dance students and Pilates clients alike. And, we launched our own photography business, capturing the beauty, energy, and artistry of our dancers in every shot.
